Objective of the consultation

Critical infrastructure means any system which is essential for providing vital economic and social functions: health, food, security, transport, energy, information systems, financial services, etc.

This initiative seeks to better protect these systems from disruption by natural disasters and man-made threats (e.g. terrorism, cyber-attacks, disinformation, hostile foreign ownership).

It will take into account:

  • the increasing links between sectors
  • new threats (e.g. climate change, pandemics).
